About Us
Recovery Friendly New Jersey (RFNJ) is a grassroots initiative that fosters the growth of recovery resources by partnering with businesses and community allies. The goal is to establish a nurturing environment that empowers individuals and their families dealing with substance use and concurrent behavioral health issues.
RFW Pilot Initiative
The establishment of Recovery Friendly New Jersey is largely based on similar programs in several states and the positive response from an initial pilot in Somerset County. The pilot initiative also demonstrated the important role the network of New Jersey’s Peer Recovery Center network in delivering recovery friendly services.

David Martinak
David Martinak is a dedicated champion of recovery and a pivotal force behind the creation of Recovery Friendly New Jersey. David is an advocate and subject matter expert in this field, drawing upon his extensive business background, personal experiences, and active engagement with Recovery-Friendly and Recovery-Ready initiatives across the nation. He is also the founder of Noble Advocacy Alliance.
Mike Jackson
Mike Jackson is A CFO / Senior Financial Executive with over 30 years experience and proven track record of driving transformational initiatives in international and complex organizations including security and defense, aerospace, automotive and industrial. A leader with strong analytical skills and extensive expertise in building strong financial teams, following best practice, leading by example and maintaining high ethical standards.
Sheila Sayah
Sheila Sayah is a problem solver, creative and passionate communicator. With a Chemical Engineering degree, she started her career deep in the world of tech and logistics and then transitioned to a creative path. Today she has her own digital marketing business, Sayah Consulting and helps professionals and small businesses upgrade their online presence.
